About The Event
Given the occasion, I think its worth reflecting on what we are working towards.
The Deakin electorate was created in 1937, and in its 88 year history, has never had a woman representative.
At the opening of the 47th parliament in 2022, women made up 38% of the House of Representatives. At the 2021 Census, women made up 50.7% of Australia's population.
Voting for Jess is not just pursuing a genuine representative for the people of Deakin, it is contributing to a parliament more representative of the Australian people.
